Part of this short ring is based on one of the ancient roads that connected San Venanzo with Marsciano.
We start from Civitella dei Conti (a tour of its few narrow streets, highly panoramic from all sides, is highly recommended) towards the south; after the first curve to the left we can take a small path downhill on the right (it was the original track, then modified for the slope not suitable for cars) which, soon after goes back to the main road, which we follow until we reach a hairpin bend to the right. Here we find, on our left (to the North) a small dirt road: it is ours, which we will always follow, first uphill and then downhill, until we reach an asphalt road (the last stretch of this ancient road has a dry-stone wall on our left, unequivocal sign of its ancient origin). At the asphalt road we turn left (towards the Southwest) and we will soon return to Civitella dei Conti.
